① The piston compressor can be designed into low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure and ultra-high pressure. At the same speed, when the discharge pressure fluctuates, the displacement of the piston compressor remains basically unchanged.
② The compression efficiency is high. The compression process of piston compressor is a closed system, and its compression efficiency is high.
③ It has strong adaptability, wide range of displacement of piston compressor, and the influence of gas density on compressor performance is not as significant as that of speed compressor. Piston compressor of the same specification can be used to compress other gas medium with slight modification.
Disadvantages of piston compressor:
① Gas with oil, especially for oil lubrication.
② The rotational speed should not be too high because of the limitation of inertial force of reciprocating motion.
③ If the exhaust is discontinuous and the gas pressure fluctuates, it may cause the pulsation resonance.
④ There are many wearing parts and maintenance.
